This is where surgical cases can be checked for both scanned and non-scanned registered instruments, equipment, and supplies for the chosen surgical procedure. The Case Check can also include configurable check points such as autoclave, surgical procedures pre and post operative, cleaning stations, and storage. Case check is also where the following processes take place.
1. The scanning button will count down from a default value of 60 seconds.
2. The Stop Scan button may be pressed to stop scanning at anytime.
3. The magnifying glass icon may be pressed once. Then, an items's image may be pressed on in order to display and enlarged view of the item's stored image.
4. Items are considered "checked" when they are either scanned by the RFID reader for the scan-able items, or when they have been entered by the technician as non-scan-able items. An item may also be categorized as exempted by the technician. The exemption process is initiated when the item is "long-pressed" until a window appears inquiring about the exemption; the response is captured and stored in the application's database. Each time an item is either checked or exempted, its background color will change from light-red to light green and the top status bar will increase its displayed percentage. Once the percentage reaches 100%, the technician may press Submit Results in order to track this particular case as checked. The logged in technicians user ID, the case information, check statistics, and other results are stored with a time stamp when this button is pressed.
